BREHM INSTALLED AS BLOOMINGTON CHANCELLOR

Indiana University officially installs Sharon Stephens Brehm as IU Bloomington chancellor in a ceremony Wednesday, Oct. 10, at 4 p.m. in the IU Auditorium. Brehm, who served as provost at Ohio University from 1996 to 2001, was selected in March to succeed Kenneth Gros Louis, who retired from the position after 21 years. Brehm officially began her duties at IU on July 1.

The hour-long installation ceremony includes speeches by IU President Myles Brand and Bloomington Mayor John Fernandez, and welcomes from various university and community leaders. It also features musical performances by the IU African-American Choral Ensemble and students from the IU School of Music under the direction of Dean Gwyn Richards. Brand performs the official installation of Brehm.
