Lilly Grant Strengthens Jacobs School of Music and School of Law

Indiana University President Michael McRobbie has announced the Lilly Endowment is giving the IU Foundation gifts totaling $69 million to secure the international standing of the IU Jacobs School of Music, provide its world-class music faculty and students with a state-of-the-art studio facility and propel the IU School of Law-Bloomington to the upper echelon of public university law schools.
The news was announced at a ceremony at IU's Musical Arts Center, which included remarks by IU President Michael A. McRobbie, IU School of Law-Bloomington Dean Lauren Robel, Jacobs School of Music Dean Gwyn Richards and others. It also featured musical interludes by Jacobs School faculty and students.
