2002 Business Outlook Panel
For nearly 30
years, Hoosiers around the state have turned to economists at Indiana
University each November for their insights on the future of the state,
national and international economies. In often uncertain times, the
IU experts have provided useful guidance to citizens, policy makers
and business people. IU's Business Outlook Panel again began its tour
of the state this fall with presentations in Indianapolis and Bloomington
on Nov. 8.
Economists offered insights
on the future of the U.S., Indiana and international economies and the
potential impact of the war in Afghanistan and the events of Sept. 11.
The hour-long panel presentation
features Bruce Jaffee, Kelley School associate dean for academics, R.
Jeffery Green, co-director, Indiana Center for Econometric Model Research;
Lawrence S. Davidson, professor of business economics and public policy;
William Sartoris, professor of finance; Morton J. Marcus, executive
director of the Indiana Business Research Center; and Thayr Richey of
the Strategic Development Group.
