2006 9th District Debate
Candidates in the 2006 Indiana 9th Congressional District race engage in a live televised debate at the studios of WTIU Public Television on the Indiana University Bloomington campus, Thursday, Aug. 31. The program is also distributed to television and radio stations in Indiana and Louisville. Republican Mike Sodrel, Democrat Baron Hill and Libertarian Eric Schansberg all participate in the event. WTIU-TV News Director Chuck Carney acts as moderator while a panel of three journalists from throughout the district ask questions. Viewers also submit questions by telephone, fax and e-mail. The debate is sponsored by Indiana University's Hoosiers for Higher Education. |
