2009 Distinguished Faculty Research Lecture

Drawing on 35 years of research conducted at Indiana University, including four major surveys of U.S. journalists, studies of voter learning in five U.S. presidential elections, studies of media agenda-setting, and other studies of newspaper readership, foreign news coverage, and press freedom in various countries, Prof. David H. Weaver delivers the 2009 Distinguished Faculty Research Lecture. Weaver, the Roy W. Howard Professor in journalism and mass communication research in the School of Journalism at Indiana University Bloomington, summarizes what he and his colleagues have found and speculates on the implications of these findings for the present and future state of journalism.
