"Indiana University: Essential to Indiana's New Economy"
An Economic Development Conference
On December 10, 2002, Indiana University president Myles Brand, Indiana Lieutenant Governor Joseph E. Kernan and David Goodrich, president of the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership, joined with IU faculty and others to discuss their organizations' roles in state economic development.
The day-long conference attracted close to 100 business, community and government leaders and provided the latest information about the university's role in the state's economy, in life sciences and in information technology. The conference took place at the University Place Conference Center at IUPUI.
