"The Composer as Resident: the Role of the Composer in the Community"

In a ceremony held on September 27, 2007 at Indiana University Bloomington, the prestigious Tracy M. Sonneborn Award was presented to W. Claude Baker, Jr., a composition professor in IU’s Jacobs School of Music. After receiving the Sonneborn Award, professor Baker delivered his lecture The Composer as Resident: the Role of the Composer in the Community.
