The commercial "Excellence" aired for the first time on
February 14, 2001. It features fast-paced imagery, IU President Myles
Brand, and actual IU students, who comment on the importance of teaching
and its impact at IU.

An IU commercial now airing has been honored in the 16th annual Admissions
Marketing Report's Admissions Advertising Awards competition.
The commercial "Questions," produced in collaboration with Bender
Browning Dolby & Sanderson, Chicago, received the gold award in the
TV advertising/single spot category and, additionally, received one
of 13 best-of-show designations. The commercial, which highlights
academic excellence found at all eight IU campuses, features real
students engaged in research activities.
