Winter Commencement

IU President Michael A. McRobbie will preside over the Bloomington campus Winter Commencement ceremony on Saturday, December 18. More than 2,000 undergraduate and graduate students who completed their degrees during September and October are eligible to participate in the ceremony this year. It all begins with a student procession at 9:15a.m. and the official ceremony gets underway at 10 a.m.
This year's Commencement speaker will be Vice Admiral Adam M. Robinson Jr., surgeon general of the U.S. Navy, chief of its Bureau of Medicine and Surgery and an Indiana University alumnus.
As part of Saturday's ceremony, Indiana University will confer the honorary degree Doctor of Humane Letters to Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand.
