Lilly Grant Strengthens Jacobs School of Music and School of Law
December 12, 2007

Indiana University President Michael McRobbie has announced the Lilly Endowment is giving the IU Foundation gifts totaling $69 million to secure the international standing of the IU Jacobs School of Music, provide its world-class music faculty and students with a state-of-the-art studio facility and propel the IU School of Law-Bloomington to the upper echelon of public university law schools.

The news was announced at a ceremony at IU's Musical Arts Center, which included remarks by IU President Michael A. McRobbie, IU School of Law-Bloomington Dean Lauren Robel, Jacobs School of Music Dean Gwyn Richards and others. It also featured musical interludes by Jacobs School faculty and students.
