"The Cultural Politics of Ian Fleming 007" was held at Indiana University Bloomington May 29-June 1, 2003. The symposium was sponsored by the IUB College of Arts and Sciences, The College's Arts and Humanities Institute and the Department of English at IU.
The kickoff event for the symposium was a lecture held in Bloomington's Buskirk-Chumley Theater delivered by James Chapman, a lecturer in film and television history at the Open University in the United Kingdom and author of the book License to Thrill: A Cultural History of the James Bond Films.
