Lecture by Emmy award-winner Robert Benedetti

On Oct. 15, 2002, the Indiana University Department of Theatre and Drama presented the second of two public lectures by acclaimed acting teacher and film producer Robert Benedetti. Benedetti, who has won three Emmy Awards in the last five years as producer of the Best Television Movie, discussed Hollywood Ethics: Behind the Oxymoron. Benedetti produced the critically acclaimed 1999 Showtime film, Aldrich Ames: Traitor Within. He won his first Emmy for producing the 1997 HBO film, Miss Evers' Boys, which was nominated for twelve Emmys. In 1999, he produced A Lesson Before Dying (also for HBO), which won the Emmy for Best Picture. Benedetti is the author of The Actor at Work, now in its eighth edition. The lecture was held in the Ruth H. Halls Theatre.
