50th Anniversary of IU Press - Lecture by Michael Dirda

Michael Dirda visited Bloomington recently to speak to a gathering celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Indiana University Press. Dirda, winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Criticism and a well-known writer and editor, is Senior Editor of the Washington Post Book World and an author of many respected books including a current one published by Indiana University Press, "Readings: Essays and Literary Entertainments." His love of books, his enjoyment for scholarly pursuit, and his sense of humor produced a lively talk on the state of publishing. Mr Dirda was introduced by Peter-John Leone, Director of Indiana University Press.

Indiana University Press is the second largest public university press in the country, the largest in the Big 10, and an example of world-respected excellence in academic publishing.
