Romania's International Role

Sorin Ducaru, Romanian Ambassador

During a recent visit to IUB, Romania's ambassador to the United States, the Honorable Sorin Ducaru delivered a lecture titled "Romania's Evolving Role in the International Environment: Choices, Challenges, Changes."

Ambassador Ducaru visited Bloomington to recognize Indiana University's Romanian Studies program, the only program of its kind in the U.S. Most American experts who work for the US government concerning Romania in foreign service, humanitarian aid missions and educational exchange organizations are graduates of the IU program, which is in IU's Russian and East European Institute.
