The Second Annual Diversity Leadership Conference will be welcoming intellectual, author and journalist Marc Lamont Hill as a keynote speaker, as well as countless budding student leaders, to Indiana University.
The theme of this year's conference is "Transform U: Empower Your Vision, Your Voice, Your Future." It is designed to open a dialogue for students to take more action in understanding their diverse experiences in higher education as well as how they can use them to positively shape their futures.
To accomplish this goal, this year's conference is offering sessions that address core areas such as succeeding academically, leading with purpose, walking with integrity and creating an inclusive climate. The sessions will be led not only by IU faculty and Bloomington professionals but by students themselves.
The event is open to all students, faculty, staff and members of the community. The event is free, but registration is required of all participants through the Diversity Leadership Conference website. The registration deadline is Oct. 24.
