Celebrating 25 years of anything is notable…be it a birthday, a wedding anniversary, or a moment in history. Celebrating 25 years of advocacy, education and support for a group of individuals who once ‘lived in the closet’ is, quite frankly, phenomenal.
On Saturday, November 16, members of the IU community (students, staff, faculty, alumni) and friends of the LGBTQ+ Culture Center gathered to celebrate 25 years of IU’s commitment to ensuring a safe and welcoming campus for all. Featured speaker during the dinner is IU graduate Shane Windmeyer, founder and executive director of the nationally recognized advocacy program for LGBTQ+ students on college campuses around the country, Campus Pride Incorporated. The event closes with a very special announcement.
